Profit and purpose
Across the globe, organisations are evaluating their impact on people and the plant. In response to a changing and unprecedented external environment, they are committing to responsible leadership and seeking to transform their operations to achieve a better, and more sustainable future for all. The SDGs are widely adopted as a framework for business impact. In the UK the Public Services Act requires consideration of social value in the award of government contracts. The Social Value Model, released in 2021, is focused specifically on the SDGs.
The SDG Impact Lab works with industry partners to develop innovative, research-based solutions to organisational challenges and problems. Leading graduate students, recruited as Lab Fellows, are trained to work with business, applying research expertise to test and translate creative ideas into actionable proposals that have real impact.
We enable our partners to:
- Collaborate with a new generation of world-leading graduate students
- Access bespoke and inspirational research on sustainable development
- Translate that research into organisational change in line with the SDGs
